ibProArcade is compatible to ibProArcade-Games (*wow* surprise!), v3arcade-Games and PNflashgames (Play Flash Games and Keep your High Scores, use POSTNUKE format).

This Hack was originally done for Invision Power Board (IPB) by Chris Kelly and later adapted to work within vBulletin 3.0.x but had no real integrated AdminCP and even some illegal licensed Files from IPB included, so it was removed from official vBulletin-Sites.

ibProArcade for vBulletin comes along with a complete new AdminCP with even more options and improved functionality, has been bugfixed alot and I implemented some additional feature that where missing. All known security-issues found have been fixed.

ibProArcade is full compatible to PHP4 and PHP5 and works with all vBulletin 3.x.x (yes, 3.0.x + 3.5.x + 3.6.x + 3.7.x + 3.8.x) with all the same Scripts !

Installation of ibProArcade is very simple and easy:

* For existing v3arcade-Installations (v1.0.x) for vBulletin 3.5/3.6 there is the converter available.

This hack will show how many new posts/threads have been posted in forums since 'last visit' time. "New Posts" in navbar menu will be replaced with "New Posts: x (In y Threads)" which is updated via AJAX - no page refresh. User can manually check for new posts, or you can enable auto-check which is executed in defined time interval. Optionally you can enable and configure Smart Search Menu to give users ability to search only selected forum sections. See screenshots...

Automatic Thread Tagger

Automatic Thread Tagger

Description
When a user submits a new thread this modification will automatically take keywords from the thread title and use these as tags. You can use Automatic Thread Tagger to propose the user AJAX tags for his new thread, or it assigns new tags after saving the new thread. It can add the translated thread prefix to the tags.
Additionally, you can tag existing threads via maintenance and also scheduled tasks.

This modification is a successor to the terminated Automatic Thread Tagger by MrEyes:
Automatic Thread Tagger (Project Terminated) - vBulletin.org Forum

As an example, if a user submits a thread with a title of:
"Fish Food for Cats!"

The thread will be automatically tagged with:

- Fish
- Food
- Cats

If the user also submits an actual tag of "Fish" this will not be duplicated. Any rules you have setup for tagging will be respected.
If you choose to do so this product will also automatically tag threads created by incoming RSS feeds.

Automatic Tagging of existing threads
You can tag existing threads via maintenance or scheduled task/cron. They will be created with a special flag so they can be easily identified and deleted. Manual assigned tags are not touched. Maintenance is also working if Automatic Tagging is disabled via settings. Great if you want to test some settings. Automatic Tagging will take the date of the thread creation and also the userid of the creator. This process can be automated by running a scheduled job once a night.

Please keep in mind that tags that were proposed via AJAX are not tagged as auto tagged and therefore cannot be identified as such (and therefore not deleted automatically). If you want to retain the auto tagged flag you should disable AJAX and enable the tagging after the thread has been saved. As an alternative way you can also disable this and let new threads be tagged in the night from the scheduled job.

Installation / Upgrade
1. Upload all files from "upload" to your server, take care of the directory structure
2. Import "product-auto_thread_tagger110.xml" as a product, overwrite if it's already installed
3. Check settings
4. Run maintenance / Auto Tag Threads to tag existing threads (needed if you want to use the cron)

After install, and by default the modification is disabled, this will allow you to play around with configuration before switching it on.

Troubleshooting
If you report a bug please post the thread title that created it, without this I cannot test it and improve the language parsers.

* If no threads are tagged you will have to check the following:
- Is the modification enabled? Is the action you are testing enabled? (vBulletin tagging, whole auto thread tagger system, AJAX, new threads)
- Are the words you are using badwords or filtered out?

* Cron/Scheduled Task is not tagging all threads.
- The cron is limited to 500 (you can change this via settings) threads per run to avoid heavy impact on server. Make sure you run maintenance auto tagger before this to tag old threads. You can check the scheduled tasks log to see if it is running correctly.
Important: If a thread title does not meet minimum requirements to be included in tags (f.e. one word thread titles, too short words), it will be forever in this queue.

* I'm using polish, arabic, turkish, etc.. language and the tagger is not working like it should.
- If not already replaced, replace the filter replacement '&'=>'and' with ' & '=>'and' (a space before and after &)

Why thread title and not thread text?
Parsing the thread text for tags is an extremely unlikely addition as this would require some fairly heavy processing to ensure quality of tags.

[APM] Advanced Product Management 3.1.0

A center product area which allow you to manage all codes/plugins/templates/phrases/settings /crons for any product.
It also add some additional fields to the product, just to save more information with a product

The extra information is only available if you install APM, and use APM to export/import other product.
It does not have any conflict with original product. You still can use APM to import standard product, or use standard product tool to import APM's product files.

INSTALL:
1. Upload all files in UPLOAD folder to your server
2. Import XML product (product-adv_product_management_XXX.xml) using vBulletin standard product import tool.
3. Refresh menu panel to display Advanced Product Management link in Plugin System section

{optional} - Re-import product-adv_product_management.xml using APM import product tool, with Allow Overwrite = Yes
This step is inserting more information into the product.
* CAUTION: DONOT use APM to import product-adv_product_management.xml BEFORE step 2.

UPGRADE:

Limited Guest Viewing - Motivate Guests to Register

The ultimate goal of just about every community is to grow membership and while many visitors are only looking for one or two pieces of information, many more return day after day without registering. The purpose of the Limited Guest Viewing System is to drive in registrations by limiting the number of threads guests are able to view before registering or seeing an advertisement. This system is designed to encourage and ultimately force visitors to register by limiting the amount of "browsing" guests can do.

To accomplish this task, the Limited Guest Viewing System has two mechanisms which may be turned on or off individually.
1 - After a defined number of threads are viewed, the addon can trigger a customizable message explaining the benefits of the forum, registration and prompt the user to join.

2 - After a defined number of threads are viewed, the addon can stop future viewing of threads by displaying a customizable error message.
A few notes and items to consider... The Limited Guest Viewing System is designed to help push along registrations but is not foolproof, nor is meant to be. The system uses single-session cookies which can be cleared by users fairly easily. Additionally, to either allow viewing of key forums or block only select areas for guests, this system can be configured to skip certain forums. Finally, the system is designed to suppress messages from The Welcome Headers System for users with the 3.6 version of that addon.

Bot/ Search Engines:

Many members are concerned about how search engine bots will respond to this addon. To prevent errors, this addon uses two levels of protection. First off this addon is cookie based -- since most bots do not use cookies they will not be flagged for either messaging or blocking. Secondly, this plugin does a basic check to identify major bots including Google, Yahoo and MSN and a few others and will allow them unrestricted access. That said, it is not recommended to use this addon with guests set to be unable to view any content -- if you do notice strange behavior with spiders on your site, fully diagnose the issue and then report it using the official support thread.

Installation Instructions:

Step 1) Add the attached product plugin
From your Admin Control Panel go to Plugin System --> Manage Products and click the Add/Import product link. Click the browse button and select the xml file that accompanies these instructions. This will add and update the phrases, templates and required code.

Step 2) Configuration Options
The Limited Guest Viewing System is designed to be flexible and highly customizable to meet the specific needs of your forum. To customize which messages show up and what they say, go to your vBulletin Options, scroll to the end of the list and select "Limited Guest Viewing System".

Through this interface you will have the ability to enable the system, set the number of posts a guest may view as well as specifying any forums that should not be effected by this system. You can also customize the error message phrase through the admin interface or by editing the phrase "lgv" directly. It is highly suggested that you customize the phrases to speak specifically about your community and the benefits of registering.

By default the system is disabled -- you must enable it through this interface before it will work!

Step 3) Template Modification
If you plan to take advantage of the Register Take-Over Message which is used to encourage users to register before completely denying them thread viewing access, you will need to make one simple modifications to your templates.

From your Admin Control Panel go to Styles & Templates --> Style Manager and select Edit Templates from the drop down list. Double click the Navigation/ Breadcrumb Templates option and then double click the navbar template. At the very end of the template add the code: $lgvmessage Save the template and repeat the process for each top level style you have.

To upgrade within 3.7.x versions:
To upgrade, repeat step 1 and be sure to select the "Yes" for the Allow Overwrite option. Review all configuration options.

To upgrade from 3.6.x versions:
To upgrade, import the product file as explained in step 1 and validate the existance of the template modification from step 3. Your existing customized messages and settings will remain intact provided that you have not uninstalled the previous version of this addon.

About this hack:
One of the biggest problems on forums as you may know is 'posts boosting'. There are users who LOVE to say 'thanks' when ever they can. How can it hurt? Their post count goes up, they have nothing to loose.

There are also users who really like to express their thanks to post but don't like posting a post that looks like they're post boosting.

Then comes the moderators who have to delete people's thanks yous so a thread can look readable with out the thanks yous thrown around.

Finally comes the posters of these useful posts. They have no idea how many people really likes their posts if only some people say 'thanks'.

What this hack does is fix ALL these problems - except those users who like post boosting. This places a button called 'thanks.' When a user clicks on it, it places his username in a box right under the post saying that so-and-so says 'thanks' for the post. Every-one who clicks is placed in one box.

By giving your users the extra feature, you forum will look allot nice and organized. It is a guaranteed liking by ALL the members of your forum.

Cyb - Members Mood v1.5

This will show membership mood for current day. Members can vote for one of five options (mood 1-5) once a day. Total votes/average mood are shown in stats. Total votes are also shown in percents using graphical bar. Votes are automatically reseted every midnight. You can change time period in Scheduled Task Manager. You can enable adding of default vote automatically after reset. SuperAdmins can reset stats/votes manually and see log. You can ban usergroups and individual members from voting and seeing mood bar.

Installation:
1. Upload folder "cyb_vmood" to your forum root, then CHMOD "cyb_vmood_votes.csv" to "777".
2. Upload "cvm_reset.php" to \includes\cron folder.
3. Import XML file (as product): AdminCP > Plugin System > Manage Products > [Add/Import Product]

To set options:
Go to: AdminCP > vBulletin Options > Cyb - Members Mood

To put it on different page:
-You can have Mood bar shown on 2 pages
It's shown by default on forumhome (to disable it set option "Mood Box Placement" to "None")
To activate second location:
a) type location-name in "Additional Location" field
Explanation: When you open some vBulletin php file you'll see this at the top - "define('THIS_SCRIPT', 'XXX');"
XXX is location-name we need. It's usually the same as php filename (without extension, of course)
b) add "$cyb_vmood" to the template called on page where you wish to have stats shown

Description
vBExperience is an advanced Level and Activity System with Shop and Awards. It will calculate an activity and experience score for every user based on their activites on the forum. Now your users will see how their level is increasing by participating on your forum.

This mod was developed by me because I was never satisfied with the post count. Communities are not only defined by post count, they need much more parameters: Are the postings the user creates helpful? Are his threads frequently read? Does the user participate on the community by posting pictures, attachments, leaving visitor messages, tagging threads? All this can be answered with this mod.

Also, there are already addons available that are working as custom point provider (CDP). A CDP can extend vBExperience by collecting data and adding it to the vBExperience datastore. All point providers can be used for Awards and Shop.

You have to install these hacks for your own, vBExperience doesn't install nor touches these.

vBAdvanced
There are two vBAdvanced 3.0 XML modules: Most Active Users and Most Experienced Users. Import them via vBAdvanced AdminCP.

Awards
There are four default awards: Community, Posting, Activity and Helpful. The awards are shown in Rankings and Profile. You can set them also to display in postbit near the username. There is a scheduled job running once a day (02:30h) to calculate them.
Via AdminCP they are completely customizeable and can also be assigned manually.
Awards can be created for every data provider.

Rankings
Showing User, Level, Awards, Activity Points (experience, thread, post, user, misc) - sortable.

Shop
With vBExerience 3.7.14 a virtual Shop has been introduced. You can define categories and put virtual items with pictures in it. A currency can be defined seperatly for every item, e.g. 20 points from threads or 100 points from gallery. Users can purchase the items, they appear in their profile. The costs of the item are substracted from their xperience points. Additionally you can set quantity of the items.
The Shop will motivate your users to collect specific points to buy an item. Optionally you can show the last purchased items on postbit.
You can put virtual items in it, like WoW addons: Sell WoW Items in exchange of f.e. thread points. Great for RPG forums.

Earn Points
Since vBExperience 3.7.18 there is an overview for the user on how points can be collected. All data is beeing pulled from the database (settings, phrases)

Statistics
The statistics is showing a Top-X list of the leading users. Usefull for optimizing points of the point provider. Only enabled point providers with results will be displayed.

Promotion system
To motivate users to do more on your forum I created the promotion system. By reaching defined xperience points the user will be moved to another usergroup - where you can set graphics, shadows, highlighting, etc... What is interesting in combination with this: you can give the user more possibilities f.e. larger avatars or bigger PM box. A log of the promotions is available.

Calculation of the activity
The system calculates the activity by taking the average post count of the ten most active user and comparing it to own post count. This can be set to count only the last X days, f.e. 21 days (controlable via AdminCP) .

Settings
You can control how many points are given to every calculation. For example you can give many points for creating new threads but only a few for views of that thread. Setting a value to 0 will disable a setting.
Additionally, you can set ignore users (f.e. for bot users), forums (f.e. offtopic forums) and usergroup id's.

Performance, Big Boards
vBExperience has been tested on smaller and also on some bigger sites. I know from boards with around 120k users running this mod smoothly. More about this topic can be read in the file readme_optimization.txt

This product is very flexible. You are able to choose which stats to show, disable some details to save page space, optionally show data from last X days only, make several other functionality/make-up customizations... See screenshots.

You can have Main Stats box shown on several pages...
It's shown by default on forumhome (to disable it set "Main Top Stats box on ForumHome" to "None")
To activate another location:
a) put location-name in "Stats on Custom Pages" field in hack settings
Explanation: When you open some vBulletin php file you'll see this at the top - "define('THIS_SCRIPT', 'XXX');"
XXX is location-name we need. It's usually the same as php filename (without extension, of course)
Note: When setting several locations then separate location-names by commas
b) add "$cybtopstats" to the template called on page where you wish to have stats shown

Notes:
-To set options go to: vBulletin Options > Cyb - Advanced Forum Statistics
-"Top Thanked" works only with Abe1's "Post Thank You" hack. Don't enable if you have not this hack installed.
-To move Top Stats box somewhere else on forumhome: 1.-Set placement setting to "None" 2.-Add "index" to "Stats on Custom Pages" setting 3.-Add "$cybtopstats" wherever you wish in FORUMHOME template.
-If Top Stats box is too big because of long usernames or thread/forum titles be noted that you can trim them in ACP options.
-When forum/thread titles or usernames are trimmed, mouse-over will show you full version.

1. Required:
Import XML file (as product) through AdminCP: Plugin System > Manage Products > [Add/Import Product]

2. Optional - if you use custom styles and stats are not shown:

Enhanced Image Captcha - Stop bots from signing up!

Title : Enhanced Image Captcha

Version : 2.2b

Purpose : Add extra Image Verification to the registration process, using an alternative system to the Captcha system.

The Enhanced Image Captcha system is a unique system using images versus text to stop spammers signing up to your forum. The script automatically detects images and uses the filename as the title, making adding new images extremely simple. To further improve security, the images are passed through a script which means that none of the images on the screen have file names - and cannot be associated to the question by title alone - and cannot be viewed by trying to access the images directly.

Please note, there is a .htaccess file within the images directory, to keep security tight, this must be kept, without it bots are able to scan the images and make a match, I understand not every server can utilist .htaccess but cannot get around this.

Important : This has been tested on 3.7 and 3.6.2 - as far as I know this should be backwards and forwards compatible.

PLEASE NOTE - THIS HAS BEEN RELEASED AS A BETA VERSION AS THE SCRIPT HAS BEEN MOVED AND I NEED TO GAUGE FEEDBACK BEFORE GOING TO A FULL VERSION.

vBa CMPS v3.1.0 Released!

vBadvanced CMPS v3.1.0 has been released and is now available in the Members' Area here. The main focus of this release was vBulletin 3.8 compatability, though a few new features and options have been added as outlined below.

Changes Since v3.0.1
Attachments in news posts will now make use of vBulletin's lightbox if the lightbox is enabled in your forums.
New settings with the current poll module to allow you to wrap long poll questions and choices and prevent layout issues. (link)
New setting to allow closed polls to be shown in the current poll module.
Navbar links added by vBulletin Blog and Project Tools are now automatically prefixed with your forum's URL.

1 - First Steps – How to rewrite Your Vbulletin URLS
The first thing you need to do is configure the urls for SEO, The more of your web pages you get in to search engines the more visitors you are likely to receive to your site. By default Vbulletin has urls like http://mysite.com/showthread.php?t=28969 now these urls are not good as search engines doesn’t seem to like pages that include certain symbols such as ? and =. Ideally we want our urls to look like http://mysite.com/this-is-the-title.html Having the title of the page in the actual url helps your site get better SEO results. Now we need to choose an add on to help us re-write these urls.

To be able to re-write urls you need something called MOD-rewrite, Check with your web hosting company if this feature is installed. There are a few different mod_rewrite solutions out there, I would highly recommend using vbseo, I have personally used all three of the below and I have seen the best results by far with vbseo, VBSEO costs $160 but is highly worth it!! some url re-writing addins are:
vbseo - the most powerful and easy to install. Also include ping features - but costs $160.
Zoints SEO - this one is free but has fewer features, and requires some manual set up
Daniweb mod_rewrite - another free one, this requires quite a bit of template editing

2- Configure Your Robots.txt file
Some times search engines will try to index pages we know it will have problems with, How we get around this is to create a file called robots.txt and upload it to the root of our web server, In this file we can tell a search engine what pages not to look at when they are finding pages to index. You can also tell the search engine where your “Site map” is located which I believe is very important. Below is an example of what should be in your robots.txt file.

Note : If your forum is not located in the /forums/ directory then change it accordingly. Also replace the site map url to where your site map is located on your site.

3 - How to setup your google site map
vBSEO has also released a vBulletin Google sitemap that tells Google about all the url’s on the forum - both the old urls and the new rewritten url’s. Installing this addin is a must, this will help google find and index the most important pages on your site, and your site will get indexed much faster than if you didnt have a sitemap. When you install this addin it will notify google automatically about your sitemap every day. You can download the sitemap generator by going to vBSEO Google/Yahoo Sitemap Generator - vBulletin.org Forum

Now we need to configure the sitemap to exclude certain urls, login to the vbulletin admincp and click on “Vbulletin Options > Vbulletin Options > VBSEO Goole/Yahoo Sitemap generator” and change the following settings.

Include show post pages = no
Include member profile pages = no
Include archive pages = Yes for the first few months, then if you have VBSEO installed 301 / redirect these pages to the main pages.

4 - Template changes within Vbulletin
I recommend making the following template changes to help SEO your site. NOTE : Backup your templates before you edit them so you can restore them if needed. To backup your templates go to your admincp and click on “Styles and Templates” > “Download / Upload Styles” select your style then click download and save to your computer.

The aim of modifying your vbulletin templates is to make the text / words / pictures on your page relevant to your thread title, so we are going to add a few things that will repeat the the text of your title. Beware if you repeat the title text to many times search engines might see it as spam and penalise your site. If you follow the below modifications your site will be okay.

First we want to configure the websites title / keywords and description. In your admincp click on “Vbulletin Options” > “Vbulletin Options” > “Site Name / URL / Contact details” Then under “Forum Name” enter a name which is relevant to your site, also try to make this 3-5 words long. Next select “General Options” from the drop down box, Enter 5 “Meta Keys” that are relevant to your site, for example if my site is about computers I would enter “Computer,PC,computing,laptop” Next Enter a description for your site, try to keep this around 10 words.

Navbar Vbulletin Template Modifications
I have changed the navbar so that the breadcrumb title is highlighted to

Go to Style Manager/Main CSS – and add to the “Additional CSS definitions”

In the navbar i usually add a picture and configure the alt tags. This has been proven to help seo ranking. You can see an example of this on my site Forums - Powered by vBulletin click on a thread / topic on the site then hover your mouse over the picture in the top left hand corner. Enter the following in to the navbar template





Replace the location of your picture and the size of the frame.

Postbit Vbulletin Template Modifications
In the postbit template add the line

This will repeat the title of the thread every time someone posts on this thread, Personally I added this code after the line $post[posttime] but you might want to place it somewhere else as your site might have a different layout. Somewhere on your page, around the middle if possible add the following code

Somewhere on every page create a link to every forum category you have created, this will help these pages increase there PR status within search engines. On my site Forums - Powered by vBulletin I have created these links in the left column under the google ads. I would recommend using the same name as the forum for the link as this is more likely to make your pages rank higher in search engines for the key words.

Another good tip for SEO is to remove the “Powered by Vbulletin” which appears in some titles of pages. Go to your ADMINCP> Language & Phrases> Search in Phrases
In your Phrases Search for: x_powered_by_vbulletin (be sure to choose to search by Phrase Text and Phrase Variable Name)
Edit the phrase. Simply change it from {1} - Powered by vBulletin
to {1}
SO your just deleting - Powered by vBulletin

5 - Generating Traffic to your site
Now you have made the SEO changes to your vbulletin board you need to know how to attract people to your site. In the following guide I will assume you are creating a new site and starting from scratch, Altheo you can use the below technique on existing sites with no problem. I setup two vbulletin sites a few years ago and SEO’d them differently and I saw a big difference between the two sites, I will explain the difference below in each section.

Link equity
In my opinion you need to pay allot of attention to your link equity. If you have allot of pages on your site but very little incoming links your link equity will be spread very thinly over your site and your more important high valued pages will not rank as well in search engines. The crawl rate of your site might also reduce. A good way to make sure your lower value pages in vbulletin dont get indexed is to install a robots.txt file, (Which was explained earlier in this document.

With my two sites I did not setup a robots.txt file or configure the google sitemap to exclude certain pages on site A and this site was also getting a lot of signup’s and threads created daily, I saw with this site it was very slow to index pages in google. On site B there were not many signup’s or threads being created, I also installed a robots.txt file and I excluded certain pages from the google site map such as user profile pages, This meant site B had far less pages than site A but I saw the pages on site B appear in google much faster.

Get your PR up
When ever I setup a new site the first thing I do is try to get the PR up. In my opinion the higher PR your site has the faster it will be index by search engines and also it will rank better.

To get a higher PR you basically need to put as many links as you can on other web pages linking back to your page. Make sure you dont spam other websites as your website could get black listed, instead use the methods below and build links steadily. When linking to your site it is very important to link back properly. You need to pick a keyword and stick to it, For example for this site when I link to the home page I always use the key words “Computing Tips” so on the other site your link should look like Computing Tips and not Computing Tips and Guides this will help you rank well for the keyword Computing Tips in search engines.

If possible get your link on other pages with PR as this will help you gain more PR. Try to get your link on sites that are relevant to yours, This site is about computing / computers so my link will have more weight if it was on another computing site than a site off topic such as health or sports site. Now there are many ways you can get links to your site for SEO, Here is a list

Directory Submissions – Submit to directories, Take a look on digital point forums, You can pay 10usd for 1000-2000 manual directory submissions. I think this is the best thing you can do for SEO as all links will require a title which I would put at Computing Tips then your url. If you do use this service make sure you check the e-mail address you supplied as most sites will ask you to verify the submission.

Blog Posting – Post comments on blogs. This is a good way to get relevant links back to your site, in google, do a search for relevant sites to yours by typing something like “Computing Blogs” in to google and then find blogs to post on. Make sure you post something relevant to the article or your link is more likely to be deleted or not approved by the moderator.

Forum Posting – Sign up to forums that are similar to yours and put a link to your site in the footer. With some forums you can add up to 4 links so you can also link to sub pages.

Link Exchanges – Visit some webmaster forums and look for link exchange partners. I usually do this when my site gets PR as you can request link partners websites to also have similar PR. I usually look for site wide exchanges, If you want to exchange site wide links check how many pages there site has in a search engine, to do this go to a search engine and type in site:THEURL Leimholzbau, Theurl, Leimholz, Fichte, Kiefer, Tanne, Keilzinkware, Leisten, Holzwerkstoff, Holz, MDF so for this site it will be site:Computing Tips and Guides the more links in search engines they have the better for your site. Visit digital point forums if you want to look for SEO link exchanges.

Social Networking Sites – I personally haven’t have much luck with them but some people have, submit your site to Digg - All News, Videos, & Images and you might get lucky ;-) There are also lots of other social networking sites, search google for them.

6 – Write unique articles and advertise them

The best way to drive traffic to your site is to write articles and advertise them properly. Never copy articles from another site, Search engines will pick up on this (Duplicate content) and could possibly penalise you. I will now show you how to write articles and SEO them.

First decide what you want to write about, I will use this article I wrote as an example. Then decide what phrase / title you want to give it. I gave this article the title of “How to seo vbulletin” When you have decided what title you want to use do a search for it in google, if google returns over 1,000,000 results then it could be quite hard to reach high rankings, but anything under should be achievable. We should be able to get you ranked in the top 10 for your article.

Create a new thread and give it the title you want to target. Now try to write an article 2000 with words, In the first 2 or 3 paragraphs try to use the words from the title as much as possible, But dont make it look spammy. Then in the rest of the document try to use the words from the title in every other paragraph. This will help boost the “Key words” relevancy to the page and will help your SEO. Use Microsoft word / front page to check your spelling as some search engines will pick up on spelling mistakes. Try to make your article as interesting as possible, If people like your article they are more likely to link to it from other sites.

Once the article has been published we need to advertise it by posting links on other sites. When linking back to the article remember to use the title as the link name for example the link to this article would be How to SEO Vbulletin and not Computing Tips and Guides this is very important. Below is how I would link to this article on other sites.

Blog Posting – This is by far my best method of getting quality in-coming links. Do a search in google for your phrase / title “How to SEO Vbulletin” and look for blogs , Some blogs will have pages with PR which will also help your article get PR. On blogs you can enter you name as the phrase / title of the article then under url enter the url of the article. Then make sure you enter a quality comment as a spammy one might get deleted. Your comment will then be posted like this

Forum Posting – This is also a very good way to get 100’s of pages to link to your article, Simply put the link in your signature. Remember that most vbulletin forums let you have 4 urls, so what I do is link to 4 articles I have written.

Submit Article To Social Networking Sites – Again ive not had much success with this and can not really recommend this.

Link Exchanges – Not really worth the time and hassle, But will help, Search digital point forums for relevant link exchanges to your article.

If you follow the above steps I dont see any reason why your article can not rank in the top 10 in search engines.
